ABOUT ME

Hi!!! My name is Aprajita. I am 26 years old and I am from Assam. I have completed my Masters in Commerce (Accounting and Taxation) from Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Pune.
As a commerce student I participated in North-east Film and Food Festival held at NFAI, Pune, highlighting the cuisine of Sikkim and was awarded the BEST FOOD STALL OWNER by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in 2017. Post masters, I decided to make a shift in my professional life and went ahead to get a DIPLOMA IN CULINARY ARTS from Goa College of Hospitality & Culinary Education. During my diploma I represented my college in NESTLE GASTRONOMIX Goa, 2017. I also catered a secret beach festival in Goa in March 2018 while working as a RESTAURANT MANAGER at a cafe in Calangute, Goa. 
In September 2018, I returned back to Assam and opened up a food truck along with my friend called YATAI in Guwahati which went ahead and became the most sought after food truck in the city. 
The entire operations were run by both of us alone in the initial days, later on we hired employees for better service. Yatai was awarded the MOST PROMISING NEW ENTRANT in the food truck category in Guwahati Food Awards organised by Gplus in 2019. We were also featured in a lot of regional newspapers and magazines like Protidin, Gplus and news channels like News18 and DY365. I was invited as a GUEST SPEAKER for the annual cultural festival of National Institute of Technology, Silchar in February, 2020.
I have always been fond of writing, this blog is an effort to combine my love for writing and cooking. I believe in hard work and growing organically. Through this blog I would like to share my story and recipes with you guys and in the process build a strong community.
